[With Haste We Decide]

More 5/4...

Well it does take a lot to make good melodies out of the more uniqe time signatures like 5/4. Heck, I already felt annoyed like hell even for the slight early kick & crash hits on one of my songs, "Last Showdown". And that was even just simple 4/4. o_o'

So props to you for being able to create music still even with that kind of barrier. Although it sounds like you used the same instrument set from "Splitting Edge Of Emotions", but that was to retain the overall old-school Sakuraba feeling wasn't it =)

Even for your past works, you still did a good job on this one, but people like me would honestly rather prefer more "Siege Of The Spiritual" style songs. Because it's awesome. XD

...I hear a lot when playing Tales Of games like Phantasia =) He's the lead composer isn't he? (most times)

Anyway, this remix I'm guessing is one of your older ones? Because there are instruments that have quality differences compared to others. While, as usual, your piano and strings are excellent, the way some sounds are delivered (specifically drums) are given an LQ-sort of sound, when either done intentionally or not, I don't like so much o_o'

But still, that also gives an advantage to the fact that it really does sound like it comes from an old school RPG like another reviewer mentioned. Since you were aiming for old school, I guess you did achieve it, but you should already know that I like some of your more crystal clear orchestra & techno works =)

[Siege of the Spirtual Demons]

Start with a bang indeed.

That was simply amazing. I really love it when orchestral styles are combined with other styles such as techno. Especially when done this well. And heck, this is an original? Even more incredible, seriously. Perfect blend of instruments, unbelievable piano work, all combined with techno.

This is your first submission in NG. I visited your page and saw that it's not just what you have. I think Newgrounds is gonna be really thankful to have your expert and very professional sounding works posted here. I don't say that to just anyone; in fact this is the first time I'm even talking like this.

I will look forward to your next submissions. And I'm sure if people realize just how much talent you are (so much that I am jealous...damn man), they will too. =)

Just like you I use FL Studio 8 XXL to compose my music. In that past I've used Cubase, SONAR 7 and MIxcraft 4.

I used to use Garritan's Personal Orchestra VST, but it was like 1.5GB so I deleted. I use Edirol Orchestra VST. It's just as good, more simpler to use and it's only like 200MB.

All instruments blend in perfectly. All notes are melodically correct. All done in awesome 8-bit fashion. And it's a loop. A highly addictive loop @_@

Erm...

While you've got the instruments and such correct, it was really hard to find a melody here besides the first one. When it gets to the middle it's almost as if they were completely random notes going a half-step higher with each beat.

So the things you did correct here were the beginning and the ending. You need to work on combining melodies together and making sure they're in harmony with each other. I'm thinking that you just need more examples and inspiration from fellow Trance/Techno artists around here.

Start from there, and keep working hard. You'll get there soon if you do. =)

Nice concept.

The first time around when I heard this piece, it sounded like a gangsters-at-party sort of thing because of the bass and the trumpets. That is, until I heard the second part, which utilized instruments more suited towards techno. Then I saw the title; oh now I get it XD

The concept is fine, but try to find better trumpets to use. And personally I think it'd be much better if the "climax" refrain-part, where the instruments all play was repeated twice for both "ages". Especially for the second part.

This screams potential.

MaestroRage already summed up everything I would say actually. Those melodies are beautiful, but the execution isn't. Oh wait, he already said that.

How would you like this song to be remixed by me? Because the one thing I hate the most is seeing great music badly presented. If you will give me a chance, I'll remix it in my style of composing, but of course you will be credited as the person who originally thought of such an awesome melody.

What do you say? =)

[8bit Take On Me]

Simple yet great.

Man, loads of people are making 8-bit stuff nowadays...XD

Anyway, this is pretty good. It's nice to see that you're not just some random guy dropping a MIDI found online on GASHISOFT software (some are really obvious). It's a nice take on the original song, but the only problem, well, at least for me is the fact that the drums sound like MIDI instead of 8-bit. Try going for Megaman-sounding percussion, and don't overwhelm one stereo channel with too much sound (some chorus parts, left side). =)

Oh God, this song is so damn amazing. Even though I don't usually listen to this genre, this one really makes myself wonder if I can ever learn enough to be able to create simply incredible pieces of music like this.
